I surfed into these today while searching for hair flowers. I think I like these because they don’t look like they will overpower the total look of a Bride.

Ever see a Bride with a monstrosity of a veil on her head before? If not, see that episode of “Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?” where Goddess Samantha Goldberg (NJ event planner - I love her style) puts together a wedding for this one chick (darnit - I cannot remember her name) who Samantha made dye her tacky bleached blond hair back to normal -thank you Samantha for doing that because that chick so needed it, but this is another issue - and who HAD TO HAVE goldfish in her centerpieces. Well, anyway, the veil was hideous and it was too much for her poor little head. It was a tulle looking (almost sure it was tulle), shoulder length, a few layered, white veil plopped right on top of her head right behind her bang. This is just my opinion of course, oh well, thankfully not my wedding. Moving on…

For those of you who anti-veil like me can take take a look at these. I don’t hate veils and I think some are chic when worn correctly, but I think Brides who want to wear a veil should seek out a professional consultation first. When dealing with hair pins and clips, make sure you don’t go overboard with them and become an ethereal ice princess in the process like this chicky in the image below.

I’m not a big fan of veils. Tulle veils to be exact. And then just plain ol’ tulle. I don’t care if it’s French tulle, tulle it tulle to me unless it can be disguised as something else. What I am a big fan of are Birdcage net HATS, not to be mistaken for just Birdcage nets.

Birdcage Veil versus

Not all dresses can handle the fierceness of a Birdcage net hat so only attempt it if it works. I think that the Birdcage net hat goes well with the classic look. You know, full length gloves, a pair chandelier earrings and a sweet choker with colorful lips…why not? Picture it in your mind. We weren’t all made to be Princesses (sorry Cindy). So, I say to all of you Fashion Divas out there…work!
